The SBA District Championships got underway today around the district 23 area. Last year Gourock Park managed to get 3 teams to the district finals at Ardgowan and will be hoping to be well represented once again. I will update this page as soon as I hear how the day's events went.
Also played today was the District Finals of the Ladies SBA and a very well done to Gourock Park's Nan Hawthorn who won the singles by 21 shots to 7. Our triples also took part but as yet I do not know how they or the other results of the day went.

Had a great holiday in New York and visited most of the main attractions this fantastic city had to offer, was going to look for the Bowling Club within Central Park but I think my girlfriend was enjoying the break from the words 'bowling' and 'website work' and would have hit me with a new york bagel if I had dared to suggest we visit a Bowling Club!
Will endeavor to bring the site up to date over the next few days but in the meantime I wish to congratulate Sandy Wotherspoon on winning the Britsh Isles Singles, Wellington Park BC on winning the Greenock & District Top Ten and lastly Gourock Park's Stacey Lungley and Terry Duffy on winning the G & D Mixed Pairs
