It may have been 'Gourock Highland Games' day but if it was value for money fun you were after, then
Gourock Park's Fun Day was the place to be!  There were several attractions available including the very popular Bottle Stall, Beat the Goalie and Target Bowls. Lots more was on offer inside the clubhouse, including homebaking, sandwiches, burgers, soup and crisps. There was also a very busy bar with prices well below what you would expect to pay at the games.

All in all the day was a great success and a big thank you to all the club members and committee who gave up their valuable time to help make the day run so smoothly.

One of the events, 'Beat the Goalie', also had a raffle on offer and this was won by Jamie Porteous of Gourock, who is seen in the photograph being presented with his prize by President Alex McIlravey

Gourock Park Bowling Club was broken into during the early hours of Monday.Thiefs ripped a security door off the wall to gain entry and after destroying the alarm system, proceeded to help themselves to a small amount of cash and items left over from yesterday's Fun Day. The police are investigating and hopefully whoever carried out this crime will be brought to justice. Anyone who thinks they may have information on this is asked to contact the Police.
